5.5-magnitude Quake Hits Southern Iran -- GFZ

BEIJING, Feb 19 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted southern Iran at 0343 GMT on Thursday, said the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10.0 kilometres, was initially determined to be at a latitude of 27.36 degrees north and a longitude of 52.60 degrees east.
