KUALA NERUS, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) will settle the remaining payment owed to former Terengganu FC (TFC) import player Ivan Mamut within the stipulated timeframe to avoid sanctions from FIFA.
TFCSB said in a statement today that it has made a partial payment to the Croatian-born player as part of the club’s commitment.
The club has also submitted proof of payment to the player and FIFA to ensure the matter can be resolved.
“The remaining payment will be settled within the stipulated period and the matter is under the club’s control and monitoring.
“TFCSB will comply with any decision set in accordance with the prevailing regulations. TFCSB remains committed to acting transparently and professionally, while ensuring all matters involving the club are resolved in line with the proper guidelines,” the statement said.
The statement added that TFCSB will share further developments once it receives a decision from FIFA.
On Feb 9, TFC was once again listed under FIFA’s transfer ban, believed to be related to a claim over outstanding wages filed by Mamut against TFCSB.
