Nibong Tebal Mosques, Suraus Get RM105,000 Ramadan Donations

NIBONG TEBAL, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- Mosques and suraus in the Nibong Tebal parliamentary constituency have received RM105,000 in donations to support religious and welfare activities during the upcoming Ramadan.

In a statement today, Education Minister and Nibong Tebal MP Fadhlina Sidek said the contribution benefited 21 mosques and 63 suraus, with each mosque receiving RM2,000 and each surau RM1,000.

“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen Islamic practices in Nibong Tebal,” she said after the MADANI Iftar Donation Ceremony at Masjid As-Solihin, Kampung Kepala Gajah.

Fadhlina added that RM750,000 had been allocated in 2025 for upgrades to mosques and suraus across the constituency, including new carpet installations and improvements to prayer halls and restrooms.

She also highlighted that the temporary surau at the Taman Halaman Indah Mosque construction site, Surau Al-Munauwwarah, has been completed and will be available for residents this Ramadan.
