KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a courtesy call from the United States Ambassador to Malaysia, Edgard D Kagan, who will soon conclude his service in the country.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said the meeting provided an opportunity to express appreciation for Kagan’s contributions in strengthening strategic ties between Malaysia and the United States before his return to Washington.
He said cooperation between the two countries has covered key sectors including trade, investment, education, digital development, technology and security.
“The close relationship between our two countries remains vital in driving economic growth and expanding cooperation that benefits our people,” he said.
Kagan, who began serving as the 22nd US Ambassador to Malaysia in December 2023, having previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission, will end his tenure on Feb 16.
