Former Bernama Photographer Abdul Rahman Dies Of Prostate Cancer

TANAH MERAH, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- Former Bernama photographer Abdul Rahman Ahamed, 78, died at his home near Taman Seri Jelatok here at around 4.30 am today after battling with prostate cancer.

His second wife, Ramaini Jusoh, 61, said he had been bedridden for 16 days due to multiple health problems, including heart, lung and high blood pressure issues, and was laid to rest at Kampung Belimbing Islamic Cemetery following the Zuhur prayers.

“Early this morning, his stepson Mohd Khairul Anam Adnan, 35, found that he had stopped breathing and immediately informed the family,” she told Bernama at their residence.

Abdul Rahman is survived by two widows, 13 children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He served Bernama for 32 years, beginning as a library assistant on May 11, 1971 and retired on Jan 27, 2004, with his final post as a photographer.
