MetMalaysia Issues Advisory On Tropical Storm Penha

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued an advisory on Tropical Storm Penha, which is moving west at 25 kilometres per hour (km/h), about 1,065km northeast of Kinabatangan, Sabah.

MetMalaysia said the storm has recorded maximum wind speeds of 65 km/h but has so far posed no significant impact on Malaysia.

It added that as of 5 pm today, the storm was located at 8.6°N latitude and 127.4°E longitude, roughly 250km northeast of Davao, Philippines.
