GreenRE, Qube Partner To Organise International Sustainability Week 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 27 (Bernama) -- GreenRE Sdn Bhd and Qube Integrated Malaysia inked a strategic pact today to jointly host the International Sustainability Week (ISW) 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre from Sept 10 to 11.
The agreement, signed by GreenRE chairman Datuk Seri FD Iskandar and Qube Executive Chairman Richard Teo, established ISW 2026 as a flagship national platform with strong regional relevance, guided by the theme ‘From Certification to Transformation: Building a Net Zero Future Together’.
In a statement, Qube said it is committed to accelerating sustainability in the built environment and supporting cross-market collaboration, adding that ISW 2026 would focus on practical implementation, performance measurement, and industry readiness, anchored by recognised standards and certification.
“ISW 2026 is designed for stakeholders directly involved in the planning, design, construction and operation of the built environment, including policymakers, developers, builders, architects, engineers, planners, solution providers and city authorities,” it said.
ISW 2026 will feature speakers, participants, and exhibitors from Malaysia, the region, and international markets, reflecting shared challenges in sustainable urban development and also comprise two closely integrated components, namely International Green Build Conference (IGBC) and GreenScape: International Green Innovation Exhibition.
“Together, IGBC and GreenScape connect conference dialogue with practical application, fostering industry engagement, partnership building and project development, while supporting cross-border collaboration in the transition towards a net-zero future,” the statement read.
Speaking to reporters at the signing ceremony, FD Iskandar emphasised that the future of sustainability depends on performance and measurable outcomes that can be benchmarked, verified and replicated at scale, adding that ISW 2026 is a platform for knowledge sharing, networking and accelerating investable results for the built environment.
“As Malaysia’s leading green building certification body, GreenRE is proud to co-organise ISW 2026,” he said, adding that the ISW 2026 is targeting around 1,000 conference attendees.
FD Iskandar noted that by convening policymakers, developers, financiers, and technology leaders, ISW creates a powerful forum where standards, innovation, and capital converge, turning sustainability commitments into implementation-ready projects that deliver long-term value, resilience, and regional impact.
Meanwhile, Richard said there is a strong commitment to sustainability across government and industry, but delivery remains the real challenge.
“International Sustainability Week is designed to bring the right people together to focus on how sustainability is implemented in practice - in buildings, developments and cities. As organiser, Qube’s role is to curate and deliver a structured platform that supports this shift from discussion to action.
Richard said Qube is targeting between 5,000 and 10,000 exhibition visitors, including about 150 companies.
