KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- Lotus's Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd today officially opened Lotus's Datum Jelatek, a new neighbourhood supermarket designed to cater to urban shoppers seeking convenience, value and accessibility.
Strategically located within the Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre, the 2,000-square-metre store benefits from a direct connection to the Kelana Jaya Line's Jelatek Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, serving the grocery needs of commuters, nearby residents and working professionals.
Neil Gurusamy, chief operations officer of Lotus's Malaysia, said the store's design was conceived to integrate effortlessly into the daily routine of customers.
“Whether it’s a quick stop after work or shopping for the family, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek offers the right mix of affordability, choice and convenience,” he said at the opening of the outlet.
Also present at the launch of the supermarket chain’s 70th store nationwide was the company’s chief financial and property development officer, Yvonne Yong.
The store is directly accessible from the Jelatek LRT station and is connected to major highways such as the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), and Middle Ring Road 2.
This prime location makes it a convenient grocery stop for both public transport commuters and motorists throughout the Keramat-Jelatek area.
Featuring a clearly zoned layout with intuitive signage, the store offers a curated range of about 12,000 stock-keeping units, from fresh produce, groceries, frozen foods, bakery items, household essentials as well as health and beauty products to home furnishings and small electrical appliances.
Highlights include Lotus’s exclusive in-house bakery brand, LoTi, alongside a selection of fresh and frozen essentials priced for everyday savings.
To celebrate the opening, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek is offering a series of exclusive promotions, including daily deals from Jan 24 to 31, 2026, limited to 1,000 units per item.
Among the offers are Lotus’s kitchen towels and Grade C eggs at RM7.88, Lotus’s cooking oil at RM26.99, ikan siakap (400g-600g) at RM7.88 per fish, red watermelon at RM0.98 per kg, as well as buy-one-free-one promotions on selected canned sardines.
Shoppers can also enjoy discounts of up to 40 per cent on selected groceries, snacks, beverages, health and beauty items, and household electrical products, including halal whole chicken at RM5.88 per kg, medium prawns at RM22.88 per kg, carrots (500g) at RM0.98 per pack, Elba blender and grinder at RM58.88 and a MAG Rapid Air Fryer (4.5L) at RM80.88. .
My Lotus’s members can also enjoy exclusive activities and rewards. From Jan 24 to 25, a "Tangkap & Menang" claw machine game will be available with a minimum spend of RM80. Additionally, there will be free food giveaways, limited to 150 sets daily.
From Jan 24 to Feb 3, 2026, members can earn triple loyalty points with a minimum spend of RM80.
