TEKUN Nasional Delivers Financing Briefing To Entrepreneurs In Sandakan

SANDAKAN, Jan 22 (Bernama) -- The National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (TEKUN Nasional) reaffirmed its commitment to empowering micro and small entrepreneurs by going to the ground through its Financing Briefing Programme in Kampung Tanjung Aru here today.

Held at the Nurul Iman Mosque, the programme aimed to provide local entrepreneurs, particularly from island areas, with exposure to the agency’s financing schemes and development initiatives.

TEKUN Nasional, in a statement, said that organising such programmes provides an important platform to deliver financing information directly to rural entrepreneurs, thereby ensuring more inclusive access to financing.

“This approach is able to strengthen strategic relationships with the local community and support local economic growth through sustainable entrepreneurial development,” it said.

The programme began with visits to three local premises, namely Kedai Runcit Sahara Ahmad, Kong Lee Jin’s dried seafood business, and Kedai Runcit Yatimah Innuk

The visits aimed to directly assess the progress of local entrepreneurs’ businesses and determine the extent of financing support required at the grassroots level.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Datuk Mohamad Alamin and TEKUN Nasional chairman Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid.
