KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- Great Eastern Takaful Bhd (GETB) has launched ‘Paw’er Up with Roarie’, an interactive educational programme aimed at enhancing financial literacy among children and teenagers.

Part of GETB’s GREAT-Pintar sustainability initiative, the programme targets youths aged seven to 17, teaching basic money-management skills in a fun and accessible way while promoting long-term financial well-being.

GETB Marketing head Rashida Mior Ahmad Darwish said the new generation in today’s digital era requires a fresh approach to learning, particularly through edutainment.

“‘Paw’er Up with Roarie’ combines play and education, creating an environment where children learn while having fun.

“Through interactive games, creative activities, and practical lessons, we aim to equip the younger generation with a solid financial foundation, enabling them to make smart decisions and secure their future,” she said in a statement today.

She added that the initiative reflects GETB’s ongoing commitment to building financially confident future generations and strengthens the company’s position as an organisation that prioritises financial literacy as a foundation for lifelong financial well-being.

The launch at Tropickle, Ampang, drew around 300 participants, including customers, members of the public and GETB staff. Activities included interactive financial literacy sessions, creative workshops for children and parents, and the appearance of Roarie, the company’s mascot.

Other highlights included family-friendly games such as Family Paw-er Mission, Paw-fect Shot Score, Paw-tastic Art Corner, and a variety of interactive activities.
