KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 (Bernama) -- Great Eastern Takaful Berhad (GETB) has unveiled a refreshed corporate logo on Tuesday, marking a new phase of transformation as the family takaful operator commemorates its 15th anniversary.

Founded on Dec 10, 2010, Great Eastern Takaful has evolved into a trusted family takaful provider that continues to protect families, empower communities and contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s socio-economic development.

“This year saw a remarkable history of a refreshed corporate logo, underscoring a new phase of transformation into a forward-thinking, data-driven and future-ready organisation.

“Leveraging the values of the Masterbrand that has been serving the nation for 117 years, the refreshed logo represents a unified brand identity across the Great Eastern Group,” GETB said in a statement today.

The company said the refreshed logo also reinforces the distinct positioning of Great Eastern Takaful as a brand that integrates innovation with purpose, offering Shariah-based solutions tailored to the needs of a diverse customer base.

According to GETB, in 2025, Great Eastern Takaful delivered resilient performance across its core business segments, supported by the strength of its expanding agency force as the second-largest new recruits among the takaful operators, bancatakaful and corporate partnerships.

Strategic distribution alliances, including long-standing banks and institutional partners, enabled the organisation to deepen its market reach while maintaining a strong focus on service quality, trust and Shariah-compliant solutions.

Product innovation remains a key growth driver, with the launch of customer-centric takaful solutions such as i-Great Majestik, i-Great Chinta and i-Medi Evolusi Rider, designed to meet evolving needs across health, protection, education, legacy and retirement, ensuring relevance across different life stages.

“With great camaraderie and continuous efforts, once again, Great Eastern Takaful was named the Best Takaful Provider by The BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards 2025,” it said.

GETB also highlighted Great Eastern Takaful’s role in advancing financial literacy, securing two Malaysia Book of Records recognitions for record-breaking initiatives, including a 24-hour non-stop digital financial literacy engagement and the largest interactive financial Kahoot! session in the country.

Great Eastern Takaful continues to serve the nation through mySalam, Malaysia’s health protection scheme entrusted to the organisation since 2019.

Administered with a deep sense of responsibility, as of 30 Nov 2025, mySalam has provided protection to over 1.8 million Malaysians, with claims payouts exceeding RM1.33 billion, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment towards inclusive protection in support of the B40 and underserved communities.

The company said that sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) remained pivotal to Great Eastern Takaful’s agenda in 2025 as the organisation continued to drive environmental stewardship through upcycling initiatives, recycling programmes and environmental awareness campaigns, while empowering employees to contribute actively to sustainability outcomes.

“This commitment was further strengthened through the Great Innovation Challenge, a national-level competition across all universities in Malaysia, as an innovation platform that encourages young minds to innovate practical, AI-driven and future-ready solutions for the organisation and society,” it said.

Throughout the year, Great Eastern Takaful enhanced education access, improved the quality of lives of the underprivileged community and supported infrastructure improvements for underserved communities, including its first large-scale island outreach in Pulau Bum Bum, Sabah.

Meanwhile, GETB Chief Executive Officer Shahrul Azlan Shahriman was also quoted as saying that this year reflected the organisation’s direction as it marked its 15th year, driven by product launches, record financial literacy initiatives and sustainability efforts such as the Great Innovation Challenge.

“Financial literacy, innovation and sustainability are not add-ons to our business; they are essential to build resilient individuals, families and communities. These milestones were made possible by the dedication of our people, the strength of our partnerships and the trust Malaysians have placed in us,” he added.
