King Arrives In UAE For Special Visit

JOHOR BAHRU, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has arrived in Abu Dhabi for a special visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) until Dec 24.

The special aircraft carrying His Majesty landed at the Zayed International Airport at 11.45 am UAE time (3.45 pm in Malaysia).

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, His Majesty was welcomed by the Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri.

Also present was the Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE, Tengku Datuk Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin.

The visit marks Sultan Ibrahim’s first official trip to the UAE, undertaken at the invitation of the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Earlier, the royal aircraft departed the Royal Hangar at Senai International Airport at 9 am Malaysian time.
