Adam Adli Made Acting PKR Melaka MPN Chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- PKR Melaka state leadership council (MPN) deputy chairman  Adam Adli Abd Halim will be acting for Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin as chairman effective yesterday.

The matter was announced by PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr. Fuziah Salleh in a statement today.

"Shamsul Iskandar's position as Hang Tuah Jaya branch chief remains," she said.

On Dec 5, the former senior political secretary to the Prime Minister was charged at the Shah Alam Sessions Court, Selangor on one charge of corruption totalling RM64,924 involving the approval of a mineral exploration licence in Sabah.

Shamsul Iskandar, 50, was also charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court here a day earlier on four charges of corruption totalling RM176,829.03 which also involved the approval of a mineral exploration licence in Sabah.

In November, he announced his resignation as senior political secretary to the Prime Minister on the grounds that there was an attempt to attack him through matters that could tarnish the image of the MADANI Government.
