Bank Muamalat Launches Ar-Rahnu BIZ: Up To RM5 Mln In Financing Using Gold As Collateral

KUALA LUMPUR, July 11 (Bernama) -- Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd today introduced Ar-Rahnu BIZ, a new shariah-compliant financing product designed specifically for registered companies (Sdn Bhd and enterprises) seeking quick access to capital of up to RM5 million, secured with gold as collateral.

In a statement, the bank said that Ar-Rahnu BIZ is part of its ongoing efforts to empower local entrepreneurs through flexible, secure, and shariah-compliant financial solutions.

“This initiative aligns with the bank’s aspiration to expand financial literacy, support community business continuity, and uphold our mission to build a better life, together,” it said.

Bank Muamalat also celebrated the main winners of the “Gadai Emas Menang Emas 2.0” (GEME 2.0) campaign at a prize-giving ceremony held at its Sungai Petani, Kedah, branch.

The campaign, which ran from March 1 to Dec 31, 2024, generated over RM40 million in revenue and recorded total financing of RM811 million, reflecting strong customer confidence in the Ar-Rahnu product.

Three grand prize winners received a total of RM200,000 worth of gold jewellery, presented by Bank Muamalat’s retail banking director, Mohammad Zalman Jalil.

“GEME 2.0 proves that Ar-Rahnu is not merely a financial instrument, but a legitimate, immediate and ethical form of support,” he said.

Following the overwhelming response to GEME 2.0, Bank Muamalat has officially announced the launch of GEME 3.0, which runs from March 1 to Dec 31, 2025, offering a total of RM320,000 worth of gold prizes to be won.
