Noor Ainun Gains MBOR Acclaim As First M’sian Woman To Complete 444km Ultra-marathon

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) has recognised national ultra runner Noor Ainun Yeop Kamaruddin as the first woman to the complete the Nozomi Coast to Coast Run Distance 444KM, said the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) today.

It added that the recognition is in appreciation of her determination and dedication towards the sports of ultra running when she completed the 444 kilometres (km) Nozomi Coast to Coast ultra-marathon from Lumut, Perak to Bachok, Kelantan in 114 hours, 18 minutes and 14 seconds.

“The achievement makes her the first Malaysian woman to complete the 444km Nozomi Coast to Coast run since its inception in 2017,” the ministry said in a statement today.

It added that the MBOR recognition ceremony was officiated by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim.

The ministry said the achievement also reflected the values of perseverance and determination, in line with the aspirations of MADANI Malaysia in producing highly determined and competitive people.
