KUALA LUMPUR, June 12 (Bernama) – Actress and singer Bella Astillah has released a new single, ‘Lebih Indah Berpisah’ (More Beautiful to Part), which is inspired by her own life story.
A special collaboration with renowned Indonesian musician Ade Govinda, who composed the song, Lebih Indah Berpisah highlights the theme of having the courage to let go of a relationship that is no longer appreciated, for the sake of one’s own happiness.
Since its release last month, the song has garnered over 700,000 views on YouTube to date.
According to Ade, the song was created as a special gift for Bella after he learned about her life story through their conversations prior to the songwriting process.

"Before this, I had a chat with Bella about her life story, so I incorporated all of those experiences into this song, and that’s how Lebih Indah Berpisah came about," he told reporters after the song’s launch press conference, held here today.
He added that the song also pays tribute to individuals who are brave enough to make major decisions in life when love is no longer valued.
Meanwhile, Bella, whose real name is Dayang Ara Nabellah Awang Astillah, 31, said the song is very special to her as its lyrics and melody reflect the strength it takes to part ways sincerely, despite the sadness and emotional stress involved.
"This song isn’t about me not having moved on or trying to bring up the past—no. It’s more about being ready to embrace a new life.

"Not all separations are about breaking someone down, being sad, or wanting to bring others down. No. This song is more about trying to put a positive spin on separation," she said.
Sharing about the recording process, the ex-wife of Aliff Aziz said she went through a difficult time and even shed tears because the lyrics were very deep and touched her heart.
"When I started singing, the atmosphere became very emotional. I felt really sad. Only after that was I able to record the song calmly.
"I wouldn't say I had flashbacks throughout the recording, but the things we go through in life always stay in our hearts. We’re human—there are times when we feel down, and there are times when we feel happy," she added, noting that it took her about three hours to record the song.
