MINA, June 7 (Bernama-SPA) -- In a unique and human-centred initiative, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched the “Happiness Team” programme to enhance the emotional and spiritual experience of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the programme is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to improve service quality and ensure a memorable, fulfilling journey for pilgrims.
The “Happiness Team” comprises more than 600 trained specialists who operate across the holy sites, delivering field activities and integrated services designed to inspire joy, reassurance, and emotional ease among pilgrims.
The initiative emphasises emotional intelligence and professional flexibility in managing stress and discomfort, transforming challenges into positive and uplifting experiences.
Beyond psychological and social support, the programme is also equipped to provide urgent healthcare services.
It features a dedicated emergency response route, mobile ambulance tours, neonatal care, and rapid medical interventions for critical cases.
This reflects the ministry’s approach to pilgrim welfare, integrating physical safety with emotional and spiritual well-being.
