Prime Minister Hun Manet said border issues will be resolved through legal and diplomatic channels as they are complex subjects. He assured the public the government is committed to resolving such disputes to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

 

2.JAPAN-CAMBODIA PLEDGE TO CONTINUE DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE

Japan and Cambodia held talks to improve trade, defence cooperation and national development. Japan has assisted in developing human resources, humanitarian assistance in demining activities and port development to position the Kingdom as a regional port and logistics hub.

1.CIREBON QUARRY LANDSLIDE DEATH TOLL RISES TO 14, SEARCH ONGOING FOR 11 MISSING -- JAKARTA GLOBE

Fourteen bodies have been recovered and returned to their families after a deadly landslide struck a mining site in Gunung Kuda, Cirebon, West Java. Authorities are still searching for 11 people who remain missing, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan confirmed during a visit to the disaster site on Saturday.

 

2.WEST JAVA SHUTS DOWN CIREBON MINING SITE AFTER FATAL LANDSLIDE -- ANTARA

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said his government has revoked the operational permit of mine C in the Mount Kuda limestone mining zone in Cirebon district following the landslide on Friday that claimed 14 lives. He informed that the West Java Energy and Mineral Resources Office had issued multiple warnings earlier about the risks at the mine, which was operated by the Al-Azhariyah Islamic Boarding School.

 

MYANMAR

1.MINISTRY WARNS CONSUMERS OF FAKE SOFT DRINKS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The Health Ministry advised the public to avoid purchasing fake Sprite soft drink bottles with Thai language labels. Authorities warned that these unauthorised products could be detrimental to health and urged distributors and sellers to stop selling the drinks.

 

2.DESIGNING NEW CITIES WITH URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

State Administration Council Chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said urban planning and development should include basic amenities and the necessary infrastructures to create a conducive living environment. Town planning must consist of schools, markets, landscaping, sports facilities and power supply.

The Department of Rural Roads (DRR) will illuminate seven bridges crossing the Chao Phraya River from June 2-4, 2025, in honour of the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on June 3. This display is a gesture of loyalty and gratitude for Her Majesty's benevolent reign.

Ho Chi Minh City established a task force to eradicate counterfeit goods and smuggling. Authorities will focus on trade fraud related to counterfeit goods and infringements of intellectual property rights. Fake medicines and health supplements are flooding the market.
