PUTRAJAYA, May 22 (Bernama) -- Public and private institutions of higher learning (IPTs) are allowed to conduct teaching and learning (PdP) sessions either online or in person during the 46th ASEAN Summit from May 26 to 28, the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) said today.
The flexibility is in response to road closures and heightened security measures around the Klang Valley, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya, throughout the summit period.
“All institutions are advised to check the location, timing and duration of affected routes from May 26-28 to determine the need for online PdP and to minimise disruptions due to traffic congestion,” the ministry said in a statement.
It also encouraged students and staff affected by the closures to contact their respective institutions for further information.
“The ministry is confident that online PdP will assist the campus community in planning their daily movements, while ensuring teaching and learning activities continue smoothly during the summit,” it said.
