Pekat Group Subsidiary Bags RM135.24 Mln Contract From TNB

KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- Pekat Group Bhd’s indirect 60 per cent-owned subsidiary, EPE Switchgear (M) Sdn Bhd, has received a letter of award from Tenaga Nasional Bhd for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of distribution networks with a contract value at RM135.24 million.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, Pekat said that the contract is effective from May 9, 2025, for a period of two years.

“Under the tender, EPE Switchgear will undertake the agreed quantity of 33 kilovolt (kV) gas insulated switchgear (GIS) and 11kV GIS and additional equipment as per TNB’s requirements and specifications.

“The contract secured is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share, and net assets per share of Pekat and its subsidiaries for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, until its expiry,” said Pekat, which specialises in solar photovoltaic systems.

The contract will not have any effect on the company’s issued share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholdings, it added.
