RIYADH, May 12 (Bernama) – United States President Donald Trump is scheduled to arrive in Riyadh on Tuesday, marking the start of his official visit to the Middle East since beginning his second term in office this January.

The four-day trip, which also includes stops in Doha, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), mirrors his first overseas visit in 2017, which also began in Saudi Arabia.

While in Riyadh, Trump is expected to meet Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and attend meetings with Gulf state leaders as well as representatives from the technology and business sectors until May 16.

International media have recently reported that prominent business figures, including Elon Musk, are also expected to attend the Saudi-US Investment Forum, scheduled to take place here on May 13.

Saudi Arabia has previously pledged to invest US$600 billion in the United States over the next four years and earlier this year agreed to purchase US$3.5 billion worth of arms from Washington.
