KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 (Bernama) -- The Muaythai Kala Merah Club (KMKM) in collaboration with the Malaysian Muaythai Association (PMM) and the Kuala Lumpur Muaythai Association (PMKL) will be organising the ‘Fightnight Muaythai International’ (FMI) 2025 tournament at Titiwangsa Stadium here, on May 24.

KMKM chairman Datuk Hairudin Yunos said FMI 2025 will bring together the participation of more than 250 amateur Muay Thai athletes and 18 international professional athletes from six countries, namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Iran and Yemen.

He said the inaugural tournament was not just a sports battleground, but also a stage for unity, development of the sports industry and promotion of sports tourism, as well as opening up space for local talents to shine at a higher level.

“This tournament is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors including athletes, technical officers, NGOs, sponsors and local and international sports fans.

“This Fight Night is a real tournament, not just looking for publicity. We promise the best fighters with strong backgrounds from great clubs locally and abroad,” he said in a statement today.

At the same time, Hairudin said his party is working closely with all relevant agencies to ensure that FMI 2025 is organised professionally, safely and meets the standards of prestigious international tournaments.
