KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) – Popular local rock band Spider will hold their first-ever "unplugged" concert on Oct 25 at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

Organised by Naga Legend Entertainment, the Spider Unplugged Concert will celebrate the band’s artistic journey that has coloured the Malaysian music industry for nearly three decades since its formation in 1996.

According to Naga Legend Entertainment representative Fandy Alias, the company is thrilled that Spider, now consisting of Tam (vocals), Aie (drums), Iss (bass), and Pown (guitar), welcomed the proposal to organise the concert.

"The 'unplugged' concept is being introduced for the first time with Spider, and it will definitely be a great moment for the fans. We believe it will offer an exclusive, unique, and luxurious experience," he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Tam, in the same statement, said that the band is selective when it comes to participating in concerts, emphasising the importance of quality and high preparedness before agreeing to perform.

"Spider doesn’t just want to get on stage, play music, sing casually, and leave. We prioritise the concept and quality, including the audio and technical systems, to ensure fans can truly experience the best performance," he said.

Tam also described the Spider Unplugged Concert as a performance never before seen, marking a new era for the band in connecting with their fans through a more intimate musical style.

Throughout their involvement in the music industry, Spider has produced numerous hit songs such as Nazraku, Aladdin, Relaku Pujuk, Kasih Latifah, and Cinta Dewa Dewi. They have also received recognition, with Relaku Pujuk winning the 2004 Juara Lagu award, while Nazraku was named Best Pop Rock Album at the 2005 Anugerah Industri Muzik.

Concert tickets, starting from RM198, can be purchased from 3 pm today at www.ilassotickets.com/spiderunplugged.
