FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Line With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday, tracking losses from the underlying cash market.

At the close, the July 2025 contract decreased by 9.0 points to 1,518.50, August 2025 slipped 5.0 points to 1,518.0, September 2025 fell by 6.5 points to 1,498.50, and December 2025 dipped 3.5 points to 1,500.50.

Turnover fell to 14,045 lots from 16,709 on Wednesday, while open interest slipped to 50,747 contracts from 54,426 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 11.25 points or 0.74 per cent due to late selling to settle at 1,513.25 from Wednesday’s close of 1,524.50.
