Denodo Opens University Challenge Focused On Data, AI For Real-World Impact
KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- Data management leader, Denodo has announced the opening of registration for its latest University Challenge, "Data and AI for Real-World Impact", under its Denodo Academic Program.
According to Denodo in a statement, the programme aims to prepare students for leadership roles in data and analytics and its registration closes on Nov 16.
Denodo chief technology officer, Alberto Pan expressed enthusiasm for seeing the innovative solutions students will develop and their potential impact.
“With the Denodo Platform, developers can seamlessly create powerful AI applications without the usual hurdles of data preparation,” he said.
The Denodo Academic Program offers students training through virtual modules, live workshops, and hands-on experience with the Denodo Platform and Denodo AI Software Development Kit (SDK). Building on the first challenge launched in 2023, this year's challenge emphasises developing artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions to address real-world social and economic issues.
Since the November 2024 release of Denodo Platform 9.1, new capabilities such as Denodo Assistant and Denodo AI SDK have simplified AI application development.
Participants in the challenge will engage in integrating datasets, managing data governance, and delivering AI solutions using Denodo Express, the platform’s free version. Judging will focus on efficient data integration, management, and delivery, as well as the creation of AI solutions for real-world problems.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and the university with the most participating teams. Winning team members will receive access to unlimited on-demand Denodo training courses, certification exams for six months, an exclusive Denodo Winner Badge worth US$7,000, and an invitation to assist at a Denodo event such as DataFest.
