Sunview Bags RM45.04 Mln EPCC Contract In Sabah

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Sunview Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM45.04 million engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contract from Quantum Sustainable Energy Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sunview Group said the contract involves the development of a solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generation facility with a total capacity of 10.58 megawatt peak (MWp) at University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in Sabah.

The renewable energy (RE) company said the project would be executed in two phases, with Phase 1 covering a capacity of 9.36 MWp and Phase 2 encompassing 1.22MWp.

Sunview Group added that the facility would integrate rooftop solar panels and building-integrated PV within UMS premises, including parking facilities.

Group executive director and group chief executive officer HP Ong said the project further solidifies its position as a trusted partner in delivering sustainable energy solutions.

“By bringing RE into the university campus, we are supporting UMS’s commitment to making a positive impact on the world, which is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributing to a greener academic environment.

“The project will serve as a stepping stone towards expanding green energy solutions into more campuses, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility for future generations,” he said.
