Malaysian High Commission In Namibia Organises Promotion Programme For TMM2026

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- The High Commission of Malaysia in Namibia (Malawakil Windhoek) organised a Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (TMM2026) Promotion Programme  in Windhoek last Saturday (Nov 15) as part of efforts to strengthen tourism promotion in the African region.

Malaysia’s Chargé d’Affaires ad interim to Namibia, Khornelisman Jasri, said the programme served as an opportunity to introduce the unique aspects of Malaysian culture to a promising tourism market.

“Malaysia offers a wide range of attractions, including culture, nature, gastronomy, and world-class tourism experiences.

“Through this programme, we want to ensure that our friends in Namibia receive accurate and comprehensive information about what awaits visitors during Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” he said in a statement on Monday.

The event, held at The Grove Mall, was attended by Namibian government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, tourism industry players, media representatives, and the local community.

The programme’s implementation aligns with the government’s focus on increasing international tourist arrivals and strengthening bilateral relations through tourism diplomacy.

Malaysia aims to significantly boost international tourist arrivals throughout TMM2026 through strategic cooperation with global industry partners, including African nations such as Namibia.

According to the statement, Malawakil Windhoek will continue organising follow-up programmes and support TMM2026 promotional efforts by enhancing cooperation with local travel agencies, media, and the diplomatic community in Namibia.
