BANGKOK, Jan. 13 -- Four Thai women are listed in Forbes Magazine’s ‘50 over 50: Asia 2022’ list.

They are chef and owner of the famous Michelin-starred Raan Jay Fai restaurant Supinya Junsuta, 77; and President and CEO of Muang Thai Insurance and manager of the men's national football team, Nualphan Lamsam, 55.

Also in the list are co-founder and chairwoman of logistics and industrial conglomerate WHA Group Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, 54, and secretary-general of Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol, 57.

The list by the global media company is in no particular order.

Supinya, in 2018, hit a new level of fame when her stall received a Michelin star in the food guide's inaugural Bangkok edition.  She was awarded 50 Best's "Icon Award," the first ever for a street food hawker.

Meanwhile, Nualphan, an heiress to the Kasikorn Bank fortune, leads Muang Thai, which ranked second in Thailand's estimated US$8 billion insurance market.

Nualphan has forged her own unique reputation as a passionate supporter of Thailand's football teams and distributor for luxury handbag designer Hermès.

Jareeporn is an outspoken supporter of Thailand’s plan to develop industry in its Eastern Economic Corridor. Under her leadership, the WHA Group has reacted dynamically to significant global economic challenges and diversifying into healthcare infrastructure as the COVID-19 pandemic continued.

Meanwhile, Ruenvadee is the first female secretary-general for the SEC in 2017. Under her leadership, the SEC has launched an aggressive crackdown on insider trading and fraud by streamlining criminal investigations.
