KEMAMAN, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Pro Cycling (MPC) rider Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil described his seventh position in the fourth stage of the 2025 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) today as a relief after finishing in 113th place in the third stage yesterday.
Izzat, who is also the best ASEAN rider for the fourth stage today, said he was grateful to his teammates who helped him a lot to achieve that position.
"Thank God Alhamdulillah and my teammates also helped a lot from the beginning to the end of the race. The last kilometre today was challenging because there were two that were quite dangerous.
"I tried to defend my position in the top 10 group in the last kilometre and my efforts were really worth it," he said when met after the race today.
Meanwhile, he hopes that the momentum he has can continue in the fifth stage tomorrow which he described as challenging.
"Bukit Fraser is actually not as difficult as the action in Gerik but the stage is still challenging for me.
"So for tomorrow I will just try to hold on and ensure that yesterday's results (third stage) are not repeated," he said.
