‘JDT of Rugby’ Target Corporate Rugby Hat-trick

PETALING JAYA, April 30 (Bernama) -- Defending champions Muamalat Bullets are confident of retaining their Corporate Super Rugby (CSR) title and completing a championship hat-trick when they face MBDK Royal Town Warriors in the final this Saturday.

Team assistant manager Adam Abdullah said the Muamalat Bullets, which include five national players, have been well-prepared over the past few weeks.

He said the squad, nicknamed the “JDT of Rugby,” are injury-free ahead of the final clash at Padang Sultan Sulaiman in Klang, which serves as their opponents’ home ground.

“To be honest, our mission this year is to secure a hat-trick. There's pressure, of course, but I believe it pushes the team to treat every match as a major responsibility.

“So with the strength of our team, made up of experienced players, we are confident of securing another victory,” he said at the CSR Grand Final 2025 Media Scrum here today.

The five national players in Muamalat Bullets are Mohammad Azri Mohd Kamal, Amierul Harith Mohd Heriezal, Muhammad Sameer Sani, Mohd Shobrey Amuk and Muhammad Amirul Aqil Kamsol.

This Saturday’s match is a repeat of the 2023 final, thus giving MBDK Royal Town Warriors a chance to avenge their defeat two years ago.

“We are prepared; the players are in good condition and highly motivated for the final. We promise to give the two-time defending champions a run for their money,” said MBDK Royal Town Warriors team manager Shahizam Tukiran.
