Kelantan FC striker advises teammates not to take FAM-MSN squad lightly

KOTA BAHRU, July 22 -- Kelantan FC striker Nurshamil Abd Ghani wants his teammates not to underestimate the FAM-MSN project squad when both teams play in the Premier League at the Sultan Muhammad lV Stadium here this Saturday.

The young Melaka-born striker said that although on paper Kelantan were the favourites, the opponents who are mainly made up of teenagers could pull off a surprise or two.

"On the other hand, we have to put on our best show, furthermore we have home advantage. Each team has their own strengths. I hope everyone can give their best," he said when contacted today.

After eleven matches, Kelantan FC are now ranked seventh with 15 points while the FAM-MSN team are at the bottom of the Premier League table with just two points.

Nurshamil also said that he and his teammates were focusing on improving their respective weaknesses to face the visitors on Saturday so as to secure three full points to strengthen their position in the Premier League.

"We need to regain our  rhythm of the previous games due to the Malaysia League (M-League) competition taking a break for almost three months when the government implemented Movement Control  (to curb the spread of COVID-19). With training sessions, we have improved ourselves to maintain our momentum," he added.
