KANGAR, July 19 (Bernama) -- Kangar Municipal Council (MPKangar) has assured that all issues regarding the resumption of the Smart Parking system will be fully resolved by Aug 1.
MPKangar president Affendi Rajini Kanth said the improvement measures were part of the council’s commitment to ensure that residents are able to go about their daily lives comfortably and without disruptions.
“We found issues regarding the parking were actually just a few and have identified the solutions. The system will be smoother from August.
“If there’s any weaknesses in terms of its smoothness, the company has promised to resolve it as soon as possible,” he told reporters after a townhall session here today.
He added that the council will retain its policy of resolving any complaints within 24 hours as part of its commitment in raising the quality of its services to the public.
“We really welcome all parties to provide their views. We don’t view ourselves as perfect, so when we accept criticism and suggestions, we can improve from time to time,” he added.
The smart parking system that began operation in mid-June this year was suspended immediately for a period of six months for improvements following public complaints.
