KOTA KINABALU, Feb 22 -- Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor is praying for the success of Sabah students sitting for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination which begins today.

Hajiji said despite facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and having to sit for the exam in the new norm with strict standard operating procedures, he was confident that all the students involved would get excellent results making both parents and teachers proud.

“I hope they have made adequate preparations and answer all the questions well. Good luck and I wish all students success.

“I also wish success to all students sitting for the Malaysian Vocational Certificate (SVM), Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examinations,” he said in a statement to Bernama today.

Besides SPM, SVM and STAM examinations will also be held from today, while STPM is scheduled to take place from March 8.

A total of 52,207 students are scheduled to sit for public examinations in Sabah.
