KOTA BHARU, July 30 -- Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob today urged the people, including hometown returnees to ensure they practice the new normal when celebrating Hari Raya Aidiladha tomorrow as part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
At the same time, he also hoped the celebration will foster closer family ties against the backdrop of the current global pandemic.
“Practise the new normal during this Hari Raya by complying with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Protect yourself, your family and our community.
“Be safe on the road, especially those returning to Kelantan for the celebration,” he said in his Aidiladha message here today.
He said Aidiladha was a meaningful celebration for Muslims, especially for those returning from the Haj pilgrimage, adding that the fact Muslims here would not be able to perform the fifth pillar of Islam due to the pandemic this year, must also be accepted graciously.
