NEW DELHI, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Gaza has run out of most life-saving medicines as Israel continues to target the Palestinian medical sector as part of its genocidal war in the occupied territories.
Gaza's hospitals are now without nearly 75 per cent of life-saving medicines and lack 83 per cent of their overall medical supplies, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu's administration has banned food and medicine supplies to Gaza residents since October while his military continues to systematically destroy the besieged enclave of more than two million.
The death toll in Gaza has crossed more than 41,000 and nearly 100,000 Palestinians are wounded.
More than 22,500 people have life-changing injuries, requiring rehabilitation services for years to come, the UN World Health Organisation (WHO) reported on Thursday.
Enjoying US backing and massive arms supplies, the Israeli regime has defied international calls to stop its brutal military onslaught against Palestinians.
