Historic Milestone Datuk Sri Dr Irmohizam Receives Third PHD & Tuanku Chancellor’s Outstanding Doctoral Award (Social Sciences) From UPNM

KUALA LUMPUR, 2 Dec (Bernama) —  Datuk Sri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim, Group Managing Director, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) and Board Member, World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), has achieved another historic milestone with the conferment of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management & Administration, alongside receiving the Tuanku Chancellor’s Outstanding Doctoral Award (Social Sciences), the highest recognition awarded by the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) to its top doctoral graduate.

This marks his third PhD, reaffirming his lifelong commitment to continuous learning and proving that the pursuit of knowledge remains a defining force in his leadership journey, regardless of the heights he has already achieved.

The award was personally presented by His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim, Chancellor of UPNM, during the 15th UPNM Convocation Ceremony 2025. 

Irmohizam was selected for this award based on his exemplary academic performance, impactful research and meaningful contributions to social sciences and leadership development.

Irmohizam’s achievement further strengthen WTCKL’s reputation as an organisation led by a distinguished leader who excels not only in the trade, events, and corporate sectors but also deeply upholds the values of scholarship and research.

Irmohizam also expressed his deepest appreciation to UPNM, especially to his main PhD supervisor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Norhasni binti Zainal Abiddin (Senior Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Strategic Development), for her invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout his PhD journey.
