KLCI futures higher at close

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today on sustained demand.

At the close, October 2021 gained 21.0 points to 1,602.0, November 2021 advanced 20.0 points to 1,600.5, December 2021 rose 19.0 points to 1,598.5, and March 2022 added 16.0 points to 1,587.0.

Turnover increased to 6,634 lots from 4,977 lots on Tuesday, but open interest decreased to 36,047 contracts from 38,416 contracts yesterday. 

The benchmark FBM KLCI increased 1 per cent, or 16.47 points, to 1,600.38 from 1,583.91 at Tuesday’s close.
