KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower in line with weaker underlying cash market.
At the close, July 2021 shed 6.5 points to 1,513.5, while August 2021, September 2021, and December 2021 all trimmed 7.0 points to 1,510.5, 1,505.0, and 1,499.5, respectively.
Turnover rose to 10,259 lots from Monday’s 8,631 lots, while open interest eased to 40,997 contracts from 41,085 contracts previously.
At 5 pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI fell 3.45 points to 1,516.52, from Monday’s close of 1,519.97.
Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries were closed on Tuesday for Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.
