Gold futures opens untraded

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives was untraded in the early session on Friday.

At 9.33am, spot-month April 2021 were pegged at RM233.00, May 2021 at RM225.00 a gramme, June 2021 at RM230.00 a gramme, and July 2021 at RM235.00 a gramme.

Volume was nil, while open interest stood at eight contracts.

At 9.30am, the price of physical gold increased 30 sen to RM225.69 a gramme from RM225.39 a gramme at 5pm on Friday.
