KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended firmer today in line with the downtrend in the underlying cash market.
At the close, spot month April 2021 gained 9.0 points to 1,604.0, May 2021 increased 10.0 points to 1,600.0, June 2021 added 10.5 points to 1,588.0, and September 2021 rose 7.5 points to 1,580.0.
Turnover, however dropped to 5,790 lots from Wednesday’s 6,080 lots, while open interest narrowed to 37,415 contracts from 37,967 contracts previously.
The benchmark FBM KLCI increased 11.15 points to 1,607.73 from yesterday’s close of 1,596.58.
