KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended on a firm note today, tracking the strong underlying cash market.
At the close, spot month April 2021 and May 2021 surged 20.5 points each to 1,596.0 and 1,592.0, respectively, June 2021 rose 18.5 point to 1,590.0, and September 2021 expanded 19.5 points to 1,580.0.
Turnover decreased to 7,770 lots from 8,158 lots on Tuesday, while open interest rose to 40,550 contracts from 40,008 contracts yesterday.
At 5pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI surged 21.68 points to 1,600.59 from Tuesday’s close of 1,578.91.
