KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 -- The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Veterans Affairs Department (JHEV) has not received any instruction from the government to involve them in the ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO).
MAF JHEV in a statement today said MAF is still able to handle the MCO enforcement together with police.
“It is apparent that the situation is still under control and managed by the agencies involved,” according to a statement here today.
Today a local television station reported that Non-Pensionable Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATTBM) president Datuk Ismail Abidin said over 350,000 MAF veterans, under the association, are prepared to help MAF and the police in containing COVID-19.
According to the statement, MAF veterans can help the government at this crucial time, by following the government directive to stay at home and not going out over unnecessary matters, to break the chain of the infection.
