PR1MA sends food aid worth nearly RM900,000 to Kelantan, Terengganu

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- The PR1MA Corporation Malaysia is sending flood relief aid amounting to nearly RM900,000 to help victims in Kelantan and Terengganu.

Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the donations included 800 sets of household cleaning tools, such as water jets, mops, rubber pipes, plastic brooms, pails, rubber shoes, and gloves.

“We also sent 1,000 sets of flood relief items, including food starter kits, flood kits, telekung (prayer attire), mattresses, school bags, and ready-to-eat food packs,” he said after flagging off several vehicles carrying relief supplies at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur here today.

Also present was PR1MA Corporation chairman Datuk Dr Fathul Bari Mat Jahya.

Ahmad also called on for more agencies, ministries, and government-linked companies (GLCs) to be involved in helping people affected by disasters, regardless of their location.
