KUALA TERENGGANU, Sept 22 -- Islamic Civilisation Park  (TTI) which is one of Terengganu's main tourist attractions reopens to visitors from today.

State Tourism, Culture and Digital Technology Committee chairman Ariffin Deraman said the reopening was in line with Terengganu's transition to Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) on Friday (Sept 17).

"After more than four months of operations being closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, TTI can now be opened to visitors according to the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council (MKN).

"In conjunction with the opening, we are offering various attractive promotions with discounted ticket prices at RM10 for children and senior citizens, RM15 for adults," he told a press conference at TTI here.

Among the attractions at TTI are the Monument Park, TTI River Cruise, D'Benteng Restaurant and Masjid Kristal.

Ariffin said the committee also planned to build two more additional monuments to attract more tourists to TTI.

"So far, I have not been able to announce in detail the two monuments that will be built but it involves historic buildings from the Middle East and China," he said.

He added that so far, there were 21 monuments related to Islamic history erected there including the National Mosque (Malaysia), Dome of the Rock (Palestine), Grand Mosque (Saudi Arabia), Alhambra Citadel (Spain) and Taj Mahal (India).
