Daily vaccination hits 500,000 doses for three consecutive days

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 -- The number of COVID-19 vaccine administered in the country exceeded 500,000 doses for three consecutive days with 552,701 doses administered yesterday.

On Monday, 521,923 doses were dispensed nationwide while a record high of 553,871 doses were administered on Tuesday.

 Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba in a tweet said said of the total daily doses given out yesterday, 353,771 were the first dose while 198,930 the second dose.

Meanwhile, since the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) was implemented on Feb 24, the cumulative vaccine doses dispensed nationwide stands at 18,946,048 involving 12,841,212 individuals getting their first jab and 6,104,836 their second.
