Takaful Malaysia's Takaful myClick MozzCare provides coverage for COVID-19

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17  -- Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd (Takaful Malaysia) through its general takaful arm, Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Bhd, has introduced its latest affordable online protection plan, Takaful myClick MozzCare, that provides coverage against dengue and Zika infection as well as a complimentary extension of coverage for the 2019 novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Mohamed Hassan Kamil said the extension of coverage is offered in light of the increasing number of people who have been infected with Covid-19 apart from the ever-present dengue cases in the country.

"We are responding to an immediate need of consumers by providing an extension of coverage against Covid-19 on top of the benefits offered via our newly introduced Takaful myClick MozzCare plan," he said in a statement today.

Mohamed Hassan said the plan provides a lump sum cash payout of up to RM4,000 if the person covered is diagnosed with dengue or Zika and a lump sum cash payout of up to RM2,000 if diagnosed with Covid-19.

He said the plan is offered to individuals aged 18 and above from as low as 11 sen a day or RM40 a year and is only available online via the Click for Cover sales portal. 

"We remain focused on providing a wider portfolio of innovative product mix that caters to the needs of consumers who are constantly looking for online protection solutions.

"For this product, we also provide claims payout within one working day, and our customers can choose from any of the three exclusive packages offered, namely Bronze, Silver and Gold, which provide a different sum covered at a very affordable price to meet their protection needs” he added.
