KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 -- The following is a statement issued by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry's (KKMM) Quick Response Team on behalf of the relevant agency to counter fake news circulating on social media at 3 pm today.
1. Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan has denied the allegation that the cause of death of a policeman attached with the Kajang District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department was due to complications of the second dose of the COVID-19 injection which went viral on social media. He said police were still awaiting the post-mortem results from the Kajang Hospital Forensic Department. The public is advised not to make speculations that could cause concern and unrest in the community.
