Moderate quake hits Maluku sea, Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 -- A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, occurred in the northern part of the Maluku Sea, Indonesia, at 6.25 am on Wednesday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement today, said that the epicentre of the earthquake was at 138 kilometres south of the Talaud Islands, Indonesia, at a depth of 10km.
There is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
