SEREMBAN, April 22 -- A 70-year-old, two-storey cinema in Jalan Dr Krisnan, here, was destroyed in a fire early this morning.

Seremban Fire and Rescue Station chief, Mohammad Idris said the 4 am fire, also involved five units of empty shops.

“The building was ablaze when we arrived at the location and we managed to put out the fire at 8.40 am.

“The building was totally destroyed in the fire. Nevertheless, no one was reported to be hurt during the incident because the building was old and unoccupied,” he said when contacted by Bernama here, today.

He said the cause of the fire and losses were still being investigated.
