KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- Samsung has unveiled its latest addition to the beloved Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A55. Equipped with the latest technology and offering a fantastic experience, the smartphones will meet the needs of consumers seeking top-quality devices at accessible prices.
The Galaxy A55’s design reflects Samsung’s commitment to quality materials and craftsmanship. By opting for an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and rear, Samsung has elevated the device’s aesthetics and durability.
The introduction of the Exynos 1480 chip in the Galaxy A55 marks a step forward in performance, building upon the foundation set by its predecessors. With a more modern manufacturing process compared to the Exynos 1380, the new CPU promises improved processing speeds while maintaining efficient power consumption.
The decision to adopt a flat metal frame for the Galaxy A55 provides a sleek and ergonomic user experience. Despite the absence of curved edges on the display or rear panel, the smartphone still offers a seamless and comfortable grip for both one-handed and two-handed usage.
Meanwhile, the improved Nightography feature on the Galaxy A55 5G helps capture more vibrant and clearer low-light images. In addition to that, the smartphone is also powered by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms with image signal processing (ISP), which filters and removes unwanted obstructions and elements from photos and presents a high-quality super-resolution image with greater detail even when taking photos at night.
The smartphone also received an upgrade with a higher resolution 12MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter and a 32MP, f/2.2 front-facing camera.
The smartphone isn’t just loaded with incredible innovations like versatile photography and stunning displays; it also boasts flagship security features to protect a user’s digital realm. For the first time, Samsung Knox Vault is included in these devices.
The Knox Vault security is resistant to hardware (HW) attacks by using high-cost equipment that protects PINs, passwords and patterns. It also protects the device’s encryption keys by encrypting private data stored on the device. This ensures that only the authorised user with the correct lock screen credentials can access the data if the device is lost or stolen.
With the increasing reliance on smartphones for sensitive tasks like mobile banking and accessing personal information, having top-notch security features is crucial.
